Explained! Gets a Pocketbook

Maximizing Content Promotion, Podcasting and Advocacy: The Explained! Pocketbook is Henley Point’s newest title by principal and author, Steven Christianson.

Published August 25, 2022, The Explained! Pocketbook extracts key elements from each of the three Explained! books, modifies that content, and assembles it in a new compact, portable and single publication.

Maximizing Content Promotion, Podcasting and Advocacy: The Explained! Pocketbook is a mass market paperback-sized book with about 350 pages. It’s a seamless tapestry on how each of the three independent books work together to form the elements of a production, and it shows how to take an idea, build a narrative, employ cutting-edge promotional and outreach techniques, build a customer and community base, and work with that base to mobilize positive efforts for social or political change.

Mike O’Sullivan Henley’s Newest Author

Henley Point is proud to share the news of our recent signing of Mike O’Sullivan and his newest book, A Harmony of Worlds: Spiritualism and the Quest for Community in Nineteenth-Century America. This ground-breaking book, reproduced from its original 1981 academic release, considers why Spiritualism – embraced by a who’s who of America’s influential leaders – was among the fastest growing religions in North America in the 1800s.

This book addresses why people in nineteenth-century America turned to occult-like spiritual guidance for meaning and as an expression of their faith. The answers found in this book, originally assembled more than 40 years ago, are perhaps more relevant than ever.

A Harmony of Worlds: Spiritualism and the Quest for Community in Nineteenth-Century America explores the fascinating movement that included seances and the famous Fox sisters, Warren Chase, spiritism and the occult, Mesmerism and phreno-magnetism, and, at times, even magic.
