Ten years in the making, Connect4Life: The Story is Melanie Taddeo’s newest publication about the charity she created in 2014. It begins with the author’s personal journey wherein she shares her experiences of losing her sight — but gaining a vision she never had — and turning adversity into advocacy by creating Connect4Life, Canada’s only charity of its kind that delivers programs and services to people with disabilities. Beyond the compelling narrative of her personal journey, Melanie shares with readers the challenges and steps involved in creating a registered charity from scratch, developing programs and services for people with disabilities that didn’t overlap those offered by other organizations, and turning a vision for a more inclusive world into a organization that today operates in two countries, several cities, and is accredited by the United Nations in matters related to disability. Update: the title of this publication has been updated to Connecting Possibilities: The Story of Connect4Life, and will be published by Henley Point. This book will be available for purchase at an Amazon global marketplace near you later this December. ISBN: 978-1-0689231-3-5
This program features remote interviews, excerpts of MPP David Smith in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, audio newsletters as well as news and updates the community of Scarborough Centre. David Smith is the Member of Provincial Parliament for Scarborough Centre.
This program stands out through its focus on “community”: it’s the hard-working people of Scarborough Centre — from business leaders and healthcare professionals to students, seniors and new Canadians, and their conversations with volunteer reporters — that puts a different spin and flavour on this podcast. The people, their voices and their concerns form the core content of Working for You.
So if you want a taste of both the inner workings at Queen’s Park, as well as the authenticity of people in one of the most culturally diverse ridings in all of Canada, then check out the podcast Scarborough Centre – Working for You, An Official Podcast of MPP David Smith.

This podcast features historic news stories. Each report provides listeners with a California perspective — the events covered occurred in California or are presented from a California and west coast perspective.
Many of these reports were produced or delivered by Mike O’Sullivan during his tenure as the West Coast Bureau Chief of Voice of America, and are repackaged for this podcast in an effort to celebrate and preserve the enduring value of public broadcasting, as well as to reflect on the events in the world around us as they were reported 10, 20 or 30 years ago. Launched in April 2025, Historic California News is available to enjoy at Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts and wherever you enjoy your favourite programs.
The 2nd Edition of Podcasting Explained will be available this December 2025. The world of podcasting has evolved significantly since the first edition was published in 2021, with several companies acquired, shut down and merged. New technologies related to AI, new podcast platforms, and the entry of YouTube into the podcast ecosphere reminded the Henley Point team that an update was needed. Check back for announcements of the forthcoming publication of Podcasting Explained 2.0. We’re also happy to announce that a few more voices will contribute to the second edition, adding a depth and richness of perspectives on the growth, impact and importance of a podcast.

Connect4Life: The Podcast isn’t Henley Point’s newer audio production (in fact, we launched this program in November 2024). But it’s the incredible reach and momentum of this program what keeps raising our eyebrows and remains newsworthy in our collaboration of professionals. This program features among the most compelling voices and stories you’ll encounter in the greater ecosphere of podcasts. We have always emphasized that charities and non-profits often have some of the most compelling stories to share, so entering the podcast world is a natural for many such an organization. Our team advises, scripts, produces and publishes each episode — more than 30 as of spring 2025 — and we are happy to provide this work as a donation to what we feel is an outstanding and highly innovative non-profit organization. Connect4Life: The Podcast, hosted by President & CEO Melanie Taddeo, attracts regular listeners in Japan, Canada, South Africa and the US, and features a healthy dose of content that explores topics considered by the United Nations (which makes senses, given that Connect4Life recently received NGO accreditation to the UN on matters of disability). By the way, Connect4Life is Canada’s only charities that provides skills development for people with disabilities in broadcasting and podcasting … no wonder we like them.

The Point, a podcast of Henley Point, has launched. Upcoming episodes of The Point will showcase people, their issues and priorities, and their experiences in telling their stories, promoting their ideas and trying to make a difference in the world around them. You’ll hear from corporate leaders and non-profit executives, political campaign managers, advocacy directors, small business owners and product launch managers. We explore how each harnessed tools like audio media, digital publications and print books, and online outreach. Each episode shares lessons learned from those whose jobs focus on making the desired impact with their chosen audiences, target markets and communities. Listen to The Point on Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts, YouTube and many more podcast platforms and streaming apps.
